I am home...but trying to recover from a 15 hr. sleep deprived... I slept the night, so that's good.
I will be updating soon...stay tuned for some great pictures and great stories... I'm about 5 days behind in my journal, but the stories of God's faithfulness are just around the corner.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers!

4 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday at 5 AM I will be leaving for my trip to the Holy Land...
Here is a recap of 2007!
Praying for good health, safety, and for God's work to be done in a mighty way.
God has been so good in forming such a great team to work with. I am pleased to work with such great adults. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for over 200 kids for a VBS/Soccer Camp.. Lot of sightseeing, and towards the end of the second week, we will have a sidewalk VBS/Soccer Tournament. Our team will also be doing 48 home visits--presenting the E.E. gospel track. There are 7 of us who have been trained so pray God uses us and we can clearly present the gospel even with the language barrier.

favorite quote
"Dang! You're good at that American ball. "
To maybe understand this quote a little bit better. Because I had to re-think why this might have been said in this way.
I was at camp playing knock out..Some of the little boys were playing and were asking why I was so short...So we had a little conversation of where I was born, and that medical help was little in that kind of a country for a very pre-mature baby. After playing a couple games, and knocking the boys out. Ok- I'm really not that great, especially with no net and always having to chase my ball. But guess I 'knocked- out' this kid a couple times...
Almost immediately after the conversation and then knocking the kid out of the game, he said "Dang, you're good at that American ball". I only heard the American word at that point, and had to ask what he said..Hilarious, and all before 8:30am.

One Word
Gen.1:1: In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.
I have taken a week off from camp, and been surrounding my time in the Word. When your dealing with emotional hard ache, I needed the truth to set me free. But the truth of God's word came in a different form than I expected......
Tuesday evening was a long day, after spending some time away. I've been hurting in so many ways, and dealing with so many family issues; good and bad. Though seeing God's mighty hand in each situation of my life. The story goes:
My niece attended camp this summer for the 1st time. She is a home body, and so thought this might be difficult. I prayed and prayed for a good time away, meeting new friends and growing in her faith. So much truth was spoken at camp, and she is learning that she needs to share her faith. Well, her action plan became her cousin. A good friend, and great cousin to have around, who lives in Florida.
Little did I know that I was involved in this little plan of hers on accident. I needed to talk to her, but it was late. So I do what most do, and instant message. The message was, I've been talking to my cousin for the last 3 hours about God. She doesn't believe in God, and believes in Evolution. The talk was pretty intense for a 13 and 16 yr. old. " I need some help...she's asking some hard questions."
Boy, I wished I had listened better to Pastor Ritch's sermons. I wish I knew more about evolution, and I wish I had the answers at the hour of midnight. I grab my Bible and start praying for some quick answers and use what I know. God has totally been working, and another 2 hour conversation was taken place the following day. Tonight, on the 3rd day, the talk is still going...and I came home to have a message, that she's been reading the book of John. I told her that John was a good place to start, and her heart is softening to the truth. Now the push to share my faith is upon me to do more. God has been working, and all the talk this week in my family's life has been amazing.
This is only one story this week of God's faithfulness. Well worth the 1 am late nights, and well worth digging into God's truth to find answers to the hard questions. His word will stand forever, and Praying One day we will see the fruits of our sharing and the work of God.
Hoping this blog post gets continued in the near future...
I have found comfort in the scriptures this week. God is my rock and my stronghold. I will not fear Him.
Psalm 33:11"But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. "
John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

Anyone know how to get a book started....Trying to research the best way possible to write a book. No, not exactly me...I'm just doing all the typing.
Is Acrobat Adobe better, or use Word and then upload it to format on adobe? Who knows. I don't want to start typing 170 pages and be screwed later...Ahh!

surrender
It's only been a month since I started reading this new book. I randomly bought a couple books when Berean Bookstore was out of business.
Here is the title currently reading..."DANGEROUS SURRENDER".
Now who in their right mind would even pick up that book, fully knowing it was going to be a difficult read. AHHH! Only me, and I've spent several days lately reading it.
Here's a few keys:
Will you voluntarily surrender the keys to the kingdom of Me and accept Jesus' dangerous invitation to deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow him? I need to surrender control.
Will you decide to say yes to God, even b/f knowing the full implications of what that yes may mean?(still working on it)
Will you let God "ruin" you forever altering how you relate to other in your life and world? I want to be ready. I want to create space in my heart for hurting people. This is what I'm ready for in my missions trip to Israel in about a month.

Laundry Detergent
What laundry detergent works best for you?
There are so many brands out there and I'm disgusted once again with another laundry detergent.
17 yrs and we've used the same detergent...ERA!!!!
It was all we used; we wash all clothes in cold water...Never, Ever had an issue till they came out with this stronger formula. My clothes were staining from the detergent.
About 5 months ago, we switched to a new detergent ALL.
I liked it, but today I wash my clothes with the same brand, but must be a different kind of ALL.(Fresh Rain) Blue detergent. Frustrated it stained the entire front and back of my gray sweat pants and the inside of my adidas shirt(lucky the shirt still wearable).
What is it these days with detergents????????
Washing one more load and then going to have to go buy the right kind of detergent, so I don't stain any other clothes. The key...Buy the clear color detergent, no liquid color.
