ADOPTION

Adoption is becoming a picture of God's family to many families at Bethany Baptist Church...And though it is so sweet and dear to many hearts, there are many who are just learning that I myself am adopted. So here's the story to all my new Bethany Friends....
I was adopted at 4 months old, weighing only 4lbs, and told I would not live; from Calcutta, India. I was in an orphanage where there was no medical help. How grateful I am for my parents to follow in God's leading to adopt. My parents have been the blessing in my life...Not only did they adopt me, but I have 4 other siblings from different countries. Yes, we have been called the "foreign family" by my brothers.

My 2 oldest brothers were born to my parents and were 10 yrs. older before my parents decided to adopt. God has spared my life for reasons I still do not know. I was a child who was not healthy enough to live in India and only by the love of my parents and 2 brothers and God's grace that I am alive. And then with a scare of a ruptered appendix at the age of 8. God continued to keep me alive. I keep praying that someday God will show me why...For now I am thankful.

Just Because it's Summer!

The Finished Product

Some are beginning to wonder if I ever blog. Though this blog is intended for my mission trips and other cool random information.
This begins a cool randomness for me. Yes, i am kind of handy sometimes...I remember back in 2003 when we tiled my dad's bathroom and sat at Barnes and Noble looking at books learning how to tile.
With my dad retiring in 3 weeks, this is what he will continue to live his life doing....

2008 Missions Trip!!!
July 19th, 2008

God has worked in my life, and given me a heart for short term missions. I'm thrilled to be joining Bethany Baptist Church in a trip to New York. I look forward to this team serving Christ together. I've been so blessed to be part of a church body that lives to share the Gospel in any given situation. I cannot express how wonderful this team has been, and yes Kevin; look forward to many potlucks to further deepen relationships with this team.
