Anyone know how to get a book started....Trying to research the best way possible to write a book. No, not exactly me...I'm just doing all the typing.
Is Acrobat Adobe better, or use Word and then upload it to format on adobe? Who knows. I don't want to start typing 170 pages and be screwed later...Ahh!

hey erika,
i don't know anything about writing a book, but my professor was telling me he was writing a book. he showed us some excerpts and they were all in Word. I think Word gives you the flexibility to do stuff and import it into different programs. I would do that if I were you. Like I said, I don't know firsthand so you would probably want to check with some other people first. Good luck!
I agree with Andrew. Type it in Word first. I've used MS Publisher for booklets. It will allow you to paste your text in from Word and then it can reformat it so it will flow like a book. I don't think you can go wrong with Word to get started.
Thanks! I've spent the last day looking at LULU.com, and seeing how I can publish the book. Formatting is the hard issue. But I'm ready to type. Though I can't fall any further behind 180 pgs. already can I?
Word is looking like my best option. And hoping it should work. My mom suggested I try uploading her book she wrote. Yeah:mistake one--I asked, What book?
