Make the paths straight before my feet Lord. My world is shaken, and my heart is breaking. I will never leave your hands, Oh Lord. God I trust you. There is a raging sea in front of me, and I am feeling lost. But I am following you in faith.
This just had to be the theme today on my way to work, I think I had listened to 3 songs about holding on to God's hands and his hands are leading me, and holding me still. I could quote several lines on those songs that spoke to my unmotivated heart today...though coffee, and study hall, and just a whirlwind of activities did not seem to motivate my heart much more, but I know that God is wrapping his arms around me.
I ended the day with this---"Count it all joy"
by Shannox Wexxelberg. Way to go Pastor Ritch, for pouring God's word in my heart this week. All I needed for so long, was found in the small book of James.

erika, i heard the song by Heller today. very beautiful! i didnt realize how you were struggling. we need to get together and pray...take these issues to God...ask for direction. I want to do this with you. call me tomorrow. i will pray tonight. under his protection, CZ
I look forward to praying with you... This has been really hard on me. It will feel good to pray with someone.
Way to go, going to the Word, Erika! We can trust God and His words, our emotions are traitors! Hugs
Much better week Jill--We'll talk after we get some much needed rest from all this olympic watch.
I love that song (Count it all joy). Tough times (no matter what they are) are tough times. Honestly, this morning after I got to work, I just wanted to cry. I'm encouraged though by the fact that the ONE I can cling to understands EVERYTHING I'm going thru. And I'm encouraged by that fact that God is soverign.
Sending you a big hug! <3
