Day 1 of Camp

We had over 80 kids come to our 5 day club and soccer camp. It was such a good first day of camp. It was hot, hot, hot. But I think they really enjoyed it. 20 kids recieved God. Praise Him for his love to us and to the Palestine kids. We finished camp at 12 and walked then to the church we were working at. We spent several hours working outside cleaning out a part of the church that hadn't been dealt with in years. The men were determined to tear down the barbwire fence.

I ate my first fig ever...fresh off the tree. And also fresh grapes.

We had our first home visit and nervous about how they were going to go. Our pastor on our team---Paul and Michele were visiting that night at 6:30 and 2 other team members visited at 7:30pm. The rest of our team had no visits. We walked to a nearby ice cream shop and then decided we should go on a prayer walk. It was an experience I'll never forget. We stopped at different houses to pray for them and thier family. We stopped at the muslim masque and prayed...the ymca where we were holding the camp, the shephards field where an awesome experience happened. It was there that we finished and as we did 3 kids came our way that we knew. And we asked them why they didn't come join us, and they said "we were praying over here while you were praying." It was a sweet moment of thankgiving to God.
