Uplifting Week to Doom

So the week started off great at 8:15 am. Monday Morning when I was told there was no home basketball games that I would have to supervise this week. I actually didn't have to go to Sam's Club, that was planned in my day.
Tuesday brought more excitement of non-supervision, as another school had communicated they would cancel next Tuesday game... Great!!! A week and a half to myself. The week was representing itself to a low key, stress relief week. And how thankful I was to that. The students have been cooperative, and our fall units were off to a great start of jump rope and Buka Ball. (Known as Volleyball with your feet)

For those of you wondering, I live at school during the fall semester. Girls/Boys Basketball, and Girls Volleyball keep me active until i coach track in March.
Story of DOOM
Wednesday--- It was sunny and unusally warm, yet I was still complaining of walking 400 yards to teach K/1... But reminded that it wasn't snowing yet, so that was good.
~I had to clear up some confusion of a girl sitting out of P.E.
~Received a bill that my health insurance went up.
~Took my car to the dealer to check brakes and paid a fortune to hear that it'll be another fortune to get them fixed.
So now, I'm up late trying to figure how to budget in my extremely tight budget of living paycheck to paycheck....taking a loan out. Just like College. HAHA! So then i can pay back more in interest. Sounds like the best situation since the economy doesn't have money anyways, let's just go more in debt.
10-11pm--spent time in prayer
12pm...Hoping to Sleep in Peace.

fog lights

Special fog lights were used tonight driving home from a late night basketball game. While trying to see where to drive, and missed the turn to allen road because of the fogginess, i was reminded at how i need to be aware of my own eyes in my walk with God. It is too easy to have my eyes foggy and not see where God is leading me. My car lights needed to be extra special in order to see clearly. Well, my own eyes need to be clean in order to see the road God is taking me down. I can only do that if I am following closely in God's footsteps. So tonight, I'm spending some extra time praying and reading the word in order to clean out some of the sin(fog) that is in me.

And yes, enjoying the great cd of Christ Tomlin "Hello Love".

Lost Cell Phone

So I begin this post and my nephew just saw the title and is laughing...Hence I will never live this story down with him.

Today I spent at Apple Blossom...and had a great time enjoying the fall weather, and picking pumpkins. We were all ready to carve a sweet design on our pumpkins.
So the story goes like this...I had my cell phone outside while we were carving...But later, as I was cleaning up, I could not find my phone. I thought where could it be. I asked my neice and nephew if they had seen my phone but they were not much help. So i do what I normally do when i lose my cell Ph.one...I call it. Yes I'm a dork, most the time I'm lazy to go find where i last left it. So when i called it, i was distracted and made my nephew take the home phone and follow where he heard the noise and I went on cleaning. He then came back to tell me it was in the
garbarge.
I thought he was joking and was like, no where is it. He laughed.."no it's in the garbage. Call it again". Yes, we did find it in the trash can burried...lucky no pumpkin pulp on it. A miracle.
He just read everything i wrote and laughed. In honor of my nephew, Carson. Thanks.

Spiders EEEK!

So in the last hour, I've had to kill 4 spiders....2 in my bathroom and 2 in the house. What's with the bugs in the house... I don't know. I'm gonna have to find the bug spray later. But late already for church retreat.

Lucky Quarter or Quarters!

Today as we took a walk to the track with Jr. High, I got bored and decided to just walk around. There was definitley evidence of Homecoming this past weekend. In the midst of candy wrappers and garbage, I found $.75 laying around... The next period, I figured I wouldn't be so lucky, but took a walk to say hello to the girls, and found 2 quarters laying next to each other. A total of $1.25 in 2 hours!!!! What a treat. I treated myself to a coke, it was much needed because I went to bed late.

Good Ol' Tanners

2008

2007

Today was a busy day as I had my neice and nephew for the weekend, and we planned our annual trip to Tanners.
It was soooo much fun! We fed the goats, played on the playground, and picked apples. Of course, came home with lots of fall goodies...
I'm sippipng hot apple cider as I type this. And tomorrow will have cider donuts.
Ah, i love fall! I was told at exactly what time summer ended last week by my 7th grade neice. She's so smart, which reminded me how the next season is approaching.
Guess that means winter is around the corner somewhere...maybe not for a loooooong time.
Happy Fall to you all.

Feeding the Goats

And of Course... Apple Picking. It was a first in our 4 years of a Tanner's Outing.

Cast your Burdens

I cast all my cares upon you. I lay all of my burdens down at your feet. And Anytime, I don't know what to do, I will cast all my cares upon you.
What a sweet reminder from a 3rd grade boy who sang this song to us this morning. In the midst of a frustrating morning, I was reminded of God's caring love and all we need to do, is return to the cross to recieve His love and Grace.

A thank you to the 2 students who game me hugs today to make my day better. One never let go, and the other said she heard I had a bad day and was told to give me a hug. Nonetheless, it was a thoughtful gesture and I was grateful for the sweet kids who hugged me today. It put a smile on my face!
