Ever wonder why trials are so important to God? Ever wonder what the will of God is for you? Why do I have to listen to the song "consider is Joy, when you face many trials..." or the song, His hands are sovereign.
I thought this blog would need some more thinking time, but I'm ready to tell all that has happened in the last month.
The last weeks have been a very trying time in my life, wondering the will of God for me. I've had my ups and downs emotionally in the very midst of an extreme hard ache.
I can't do it all on my own, but I can do it under the hands of God. His sovereign hands are right there beside me. I'm holding tight to God's hands right now. I don't know where the future is leading me. I may be in jeopardy of my job now or in the future.
God does his work in sovereign ways. Isaiah 40 is powerful!!!!
Why do we give God advice? He doesn't need my approval. I need to surrender it all to him. Be humble and know that God is sovereign. God does his work in sudden ways. I'm beginning to see this happening in my life. When God shakes your life, he does it pretty sudden and shakes everything in your life, so that you will take everything that doesn't look like Jesus and be moved to His will.
A very important thought is, take everything that I have learned while in the light, and now apply in the dark. The dark is appearing; I need to take all the truths, and scripture and apply it. Learn to trust the Lord of God even when you can't see the hand of God. Embrace the will of God because you know the heart of God. Moses led a very difficult life, but knew the heart of God. We know that God is sovereign and will give us all our needs- so follow the heart of God.
I don't have answers of what God is calling me in life right now, but I am learning this through the process. "Die to what I want". Be willing to fall to the ground and die. When we die, the life of Christ can be brought by us.
I'm totally surrendering to him. I haven't been willing to surrender. Life has been an emotional roller coaster. But He is my Rock. I am standing solid on God. My prayer today, is that I will surrender my job, future, my everything to Him.

Wow! Praise the Lord for His powerful work in your life, Erika. What a comfort to know we can trust this sovereign, gracious God who holds us in the palm of His hands. Solo de gloria!
Should have waited a few more hours...Not feeling that way today!
