HURRICANE IKE

Remnants of the hurricane has hit Peoria and has hit our home hard. It's been an eventful day. Just when I slept all day and thought I had nothing to do this evening, the rain started to pour in our house. The pool has been an un-ending nightmare since the rain started last week. The pool liner has pulled out of the wall and caused the pool to really overflow, with the gardens not holding any more H2O, it's been running into the pool. We've drained the pool 4x today, and now the bottom of the liner has been floating to the top. Though somehow it's still attached to the drain. It started out green this morning, and has turned into brown dirt.
Then as dinner was just about done, we found water in the basement. The retaining wall by the windows was filling up quick and coming in. Dad dug through the rocks to find the drain, and it quickly went down, but we still had a mess of water. Needless to say, dinner wasn't until 9pm. And then it was back to the basement for another hour. I'm tired and ready for bed. Looks like more rain.
